Sustainable Bushfire Replacement Homes
We have been working on designing a number of new homes to replace homes burnt in the recent bushfires, that are 7 Star, sustainable homes designed to the latest Bushfire Code. We have kept the design simple and modular in nature with 2 , 3 and 4 bedroom options. It will easily meet the second highest BAL standard, it will inlcude solar hot water, thrid pipe greywater, concrete slab, and screened double glazed windows, leafless gutters, fixed price contract built in 16weeks. Sunpower Design was awarded 3 awards for the Birragurra Sustainable home this week at the Building Designers Association Awards for 2009, they were Best Residential Design $300 - $500,000 2009, Best Environmentally Sustainable Home and Most Energy Efficient Home 2009. The project can be viewed under sustainable homes Birragurra Project. The awards are featured in Winners Magazine as well.

A number of Sunpower Projects have been featured on www.greenlivingpedia.org . Featured are the Surrey Hills, Hawthorn West and Moonee Ponds renovations and the Knoxfield new home. They are really inspiring projects that are truely making a difference, the Knoxfield is generating more power than it uses by 8.9kw per day.
